Prospective Portfolio Pieces

An independent study project I finished off earlier in the year.  Some might recognize this as one of the selections for the ArenaNet intern art test of 2011.  Unfortunately due to retopology issues I missed the submission deadline :(  I can say I learned a lot and I am happy with what came out of it.  I look forward to being able to build upon this knowledge, hopefully school will give me the time I need for that.  Anyway a selection of images I've polished off, I'm still deciding about whats going into my portfolio.

A few indulgent beauty shots.  Rendered in 3DSMax with Mental Ray
The preceding, the following, and this piece: 7434 Triangles, 1024k diffuse, normal, specular
Next step is to see what it looks like in Unreal, Unity or Marmoset
Comparison shot
High-poly sculpt, rendered in Zbrush
A look at the pose and the low poly cage, rendered in Zbrush

The fall semester is coming to a close ...

... so my posts here should be more frequent. Anyway, the following are some of the environment pieces that I have been working on for my Senior Team Animated Short. The title of the short is Cornfiscated and it deals with popcorn and alien abduction. Enjoy :)

more posts coming soon, I promise ; )
